Sorry but NO!
I have such a problem with SEGREGATED GRADS or the more popular terms “Black grad” or “Latino Grad”. This is DUMB, EXCLUSIVE and doesn’t serve to help the princeples of community! Rather than celebrating achievements with people of the same background think about celebrating together! The world isnt made up of working with these communities exclusively! Also things like an “African American Themed Floor” for freshman is bogus and infuriating because I feel like our ancestors have worked so hard on making sure shit like this didnt go down LIKE WAHT THE ACTUAL FUCK! I understand that maybe you feel more comfortable in these communities and with people like you but COLLEGE (or just UC Davis in my experience) of all places is one safest environment to explore other cultures and by segregating yourself to one of all of these “programs” that fosters this is stupid…
